The first sentence of the “Winner Notification” provisions have been amended as follows:

The entrant(s) drawn from the valid entries will be contacted by phone, email, and/or mail within approximately 14 days of the later of the Draw Date, June 30, or the date by which local, Ontario, and Canadian public health authorities allow for the winning entrants to accept their prize by way of an in-person public relations event with EPLC officials and the prize winners without violating recommended and/or mandated public meeting and/or social distancing protocols arising from the COVID-19 pandemic (herein “COVID Protocols”).

The “General rules” provisions have been amended by adding the following:

By participating in and/or entering the Contest, all entrants consent and agree to and must accept their prize in person by participating in an in-person public relations event with EPLC officials at a time and location in Essex County determined by EPLC but otherwise held in accordance with COVID Protocols.

A total of FOUR (4) \$1,000 credits are available to be awarded to Essex Powerlines’ customers. ONE (1) out of the FOUR (4) prizes available to be won will be awarded to an account holder with a registered account address in each Service Area (as defined below). Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be substituted unless permitted by EPLC at their sole discretion. Also, the prize cannot be traded or redeemed for cash. The odds of winning the Contest are based on the number of valid entries received in each Service Area prior to the Contest Closing Date.

The Contest is open to all residential and commercial EPLC account holders with a registered account address within at least one of the Service Areas. Entrants must be age of majority. Contest excludes residents of Quebec.

No purchase is necessary. All selected entrants must successfully answer a skill-testing question to remain eligible. In the case of a commercial account being selected, the owner or a chosen officer associated with said account must answer the skill-testing question and will receive the prize if eligible. If an entrant fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly the individual will be disqualified. The selected entrant will have a total of 14 days from the time the first notification is sent to acknowledge their eligibility, correctly answer the skill-testing question, and return the signed Release Form provided. If the entrant fails to contact EPLC and/or return the correctly answered skill-testing question and Release Form, the entrant will forfeit the prize and a new valid entrant will be drawn at random. EPLC is not responsible for failed contact attempts with the selected entrant.
