Powering Future Leaders Bursary

This bursary supports Essex Power Corporation’s philosophy and track record of investing in our youth, plus directly helps a potential future contributor to our industry….maybe even our company!

A $1,000 Bursary is to be awarded to four Grade 12 graduating students who are pursuing post secondary education in the areas of study that build and support our industry (i.e. Powerline Technician, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) avenues of study).

CRITERIA

Enrolled in a STEM industry program for Fall 2024 at a post secondary institution
Reside in Essex Powerlines territory with an active hydro account
Obtain a letter of recommendation (from teacher, vice-principal, principal, counsellor or coach, employer, volunteer organization community leader, mentor, etc.)
Letter of Acceptance from a Post Secondary Institution
Proof of enrollment required prior to paid bursary

The Essex Power Powering Future Leaders Committee will review applications and will notify the successful candidates. All provided information is confidential and will be used solely to determine successful applicants. Selected candidates will be required to sign a release form allowing Essex Power to publish the winners’ names, as well as promote the bursary and its support of youth through its communications channels.
