Essex Power Celebrates 2026 Powering Future Leaders Bursary Recipients
Essex Power Corporation is proud to recognize four outstanding local students as the recipients of its 2026 Powering Future Leaders Bursary.
This year’s recipients, Maxwell, Saryna, Evan and Jack, have each been awarded a $1,000 bursary to support their post-secondary education as they pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and other utility-related fields.
The Powering Future Leaders Bursary was created to help invest in the next generation of skilled professionals while supporting students who are passionate about making a difference in their communities. By helping reduce some of the financial barriers associated with post-secondary education, the program reflects Essex Power’s ongoing commitment to education, workforce development and community investment.
“Congratulations to this year’s recipients on this well-deserved achievement,” said John Avdoulos, President & CEO of Essex Power Corporation. “These students have demonstrated dedication, ambition and a commitment to building a bright future. We are proud to support their educational journey and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in our communities and beyond.”
The bursary program is open annually to graduating Grade 12 students residing within the Essex Powerlines service territory who are pursuing post-secondary education in STEM or utility-related programs.
Essex Power congratulates Maxwell, Saryna, Evan and Jack on this exciting milestone and wishes each of them continued success as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey.
We look forward to seeing the impact these future leaders will make in our communities for years to come.
