Essex Powerlines Announces Fall Campaign- Go Paperless with a Purpose!

Essex Powerlines Corporation (EPL) is pleased to announce the launch of its fall paperless billing campaign: Go Paperless with a Purpose, where proceeds from the campaign will benefit the Coats for Kids Program by the Unemployed Help Centre.
The Coats for Kids program was first initiated in 1986 by Red Cross and now operates through the Unemployed Help Centre. The program helps provide coats, leggings, hats, mittens, boots and scarves to any community member in need. Each year, community members are encouraged to collect and donate coats and gently used winter items to the program. The coats are then sent to distribution sites throughout Windsor and Essex County. Last year, Coats for Kids gave out over 5,000 coats to children in need.
With the help of its customers, EPL hopes to raise funds by donating $10 to the Coats for Kids Program for each customer that signs up for paperless billing. Customers can choose paperless billing through the online portal; MyAccount, or by contacting EPL’s Customer Service Representatives to help get enrolled today. Money donated will be used towards washing coats and purchasing new clothing items for children in need.
“At Essex Powerlines, our communities are the foundation of our organization. We hope that, with the support of our customers, we can help make a difference for those in need. The recent announcement by the Unemployed Help Centre has urged our communities at large to come together, and through our paperless billing campaign, we are confident that our customers will participate and help earn a significant donation for the Coats for Kids program and help keep children warm this winter.” Joe Barile, General Manager, Essex Powerlines Corporation.
