GO GREEN: SCHOOL EDITION WINNER

Essex Powerlines (EPL) is committed to environmental sustainability. That’s why the company is proud to announce that the winner of its GO GREEN: School Edition is Sutton Goldhawk from St. Pius X Elementary School in Tecumseh.

As part of the GO GREEN: School Edition campaign, students attending schools in EPL’s service territory (Amherstburg, LaSalle, Leamington and Tecumseh) were invited to show how they reduce their carbon footprint. Students were able to hand in their submission in the form of a creative poster, graphic design or video. The winner’s school council would receive $1,000.

“Sutton submitted a fantastic video which showcased how you can reduce your carbon footprint on a daily basis,” Joe Barile, General Manager of EPL said. “Within our organization, we offer initiatives like paperless billing as a way for both our company and our customers to contribute to a greener future.”
