Growing Greener Communities: Paperless Campaign Success

Essex Powerlines is celebrating the success of its “Go Paperless, Plant More Possibilities” campaign, an initiative that turned a simple switch to paperless billing into meaningful impact across the community.

Throughout April, customers were encouraged to go paperless, with a promise to donate one tree to local schools for every new enrolment. The response was strong, with 100 customers making the switch, helping reduce paper use while supporting greener school spaces.

To build on that momentum, Essex Powerlines is matching the total—bringing the impact to 200 trees that will be donated to schools across Amherstburg, LaSalle, Leamington and Tecumseh.

“This campaign shows what’s possible when our community comes together,” said Steve Ray, Chief Operating Officer, Essex Power Corporation. “The response from our customers allows us to give back in a tangible way, helping create greener spaces for students across our region.”

This initiative reflects Essex Powerlines’ ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation and community engagement. Connecting everyday customer choices with lasting environmental benefits.
