Go Paperless, Plant More Possibilities: Helping Schools Grow Greener Spaces
This April, Essex Powerlines is encouraging customers to make the switch to paperless billing while helping grow greener spaces in local schools.
As part of the Go Paperless, Plant More Possibilities campaign, Essex Powerlines will donate a tree to schools within its service territory for every new customer who enrolls in paperless billing during the month of April. Trees will be distributed to participating schools and delivered in May.
This initiative supports both environmental sustainability and community engagement. Connecting a simple customer action with a meaningful impact across the communities we serve.
“We’re proud to connect a simple action like switching to paperless billing with a meaningful impact in our community,” said Steve Ray, Chief Operating Officer, Essex Power Corporation. “Every enrollment helps reduce paper use while contributing to greener school spaces for students.”
Local schools across Amherstburg, LaSalle, Leamington and Tecumseh have been invited to participate in the program. Participating schools will receive trees to plant on school grounds, giving students the opportunity to experience the environmental benefits firsthand while helping create greener outdoor spaces.
